The Savvy Conference 2016 was a historic and fully-immersive three days of learning, teamwork and fun. What better way to welcome the Singapore consultants to Hong Kong after their 6am flight than with an adventure race through the bustling city? After a hearty dim sum lunch we were divided into three teams and sent through wet markets, star-jumping on star ferries, scouring local DVD shops for Backstreet Boys CDs, on a quest to find the most outrageous hairdo, amongst plenty more, quite frankly, ridiculous tasks.
On day two we were privileged to have LinkedIn host us at their incredible and work-play-balanced office. There we enjoyed a full day of conference, introspection and team building. Exercises were conducted to reflect on Savvy’s competitive advantage and Juliet, our Founder, reinforced Savvy’s vision, inspiring the team to continuously strive to provide modern solutions to our network. Our digital eyes were opened with an inspiring introduction to the latest trends in technology by Nickey Khemchandani, CTO of BSD Academy.
Our final conference day started bright and early at CreativeMornings with an inspiring talk by painter and BrandUnion graphic designer, Barlo. It is safe to say the monthly theme of WEIRD was wholeheartedly embraced by audience and organisers alike. However, at Savvy we are not all work and no play. The team donned their swimsuits and, with the wind in their hair, sailed off to the beautiful waters of Sai Kung and enjoyed a fantastic day on a junk boat, which brought the team even closer together.
