Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a well established, award-winning Executive Creative Director (ECD) to transform and instantly make a large impact on the power of the creative departments work. Our client is an Award winning, international, integrated communications agency. In China, they have over 400 employees across offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. They have a huge global network and work on seriously creative & inspiring projects for huge international brands. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creative teams across all offices in Greater China.
  • Enhance and build the agency's creative ideas & approaches. 

  • Be a critical leader in driving the transformation of the work in China with a focus on top clients, new business and growing the pipeline of integrated opportunities.

  • Provide exceptional leadership, both directly reporting to this role as well as indirectly influenced by this role. 

  • Part of this role will be focused on how to disrupt conventional thinking and approaches within existing client teams by piloting and driving approaches to make China more creatively driven.

  • Lead the creation of work that wins the most coveted creative awards (i.e., Cannes Lions, Clios and AME).

Qualifications

  • Creative leader with 10+ years of agency experience.

  • Proven leadership skills with experience building and guiding teams.

  • Strong local cultural understanding with a track record of working with Chinese and international clients.

  • China or greater China experiences are highly desirable. 

  • Proven ability to conceptualise ideas across Advertising, Digital, Social and PR.

  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on, highly resourceful, and enjoys running a small but growing creative team across China.

  • Good mentor and judge of creative talent, and great in building teams and creative best practices.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with a diverse and distributed group of colleagues and build creative capabilities.

  • Excellent ability to craft and deliver presentations that sell ideas and expand client relationships.

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English.
