Job Description

An International Hospitality Design Firm is looking for a fanastic talent to lead and grow their Hong Kong team. The Managing Director will be responsible for the continuous development of the Regional satellite office. Externally, the MD will participate in the new business development and will keep close and regular contact with existing clients and operators. Internally, the MD will ensure that company standards and procedures are met and that the brand standard is upheld. The MD will work closely with the Principals, Regional Director, Lead Designers, Project Managers, Director of Development and Client Services, Director of Operations and Executive Committee to achieve the above.

Role and Responsibilites:

- Responsible to maintain relations with existing and potential clients and operators (i.e. trouble shooting or problem solving)
- Represent the office in all aspects of the business
- Responsible to communicate with Principals and Lead designers to ensure that client’s /operator’s needs are maintained
- Responsible to communicate with Regional Director, Studio Manager, Director of Operations, Project Managers, Lead Designers and Office Manager to ensure that standards and processes are followed
- Act as a Liaison between offices
- Represents the company at events and functions and acts as ambassador to company in Asia Pacific
- Assists the project teams, specific to the region as needed
- Assist the Director of Operations and Principals with projects scheduling and developing teams
- Assist with new business development
- Assist in the growth of the office
- Assist with office strategic issues
- Reports to President on status of office operations and projects
- Fluent in Mandarin and English
- Minimum 10 years in design experience, preferably in Hospitality Industry
- Ability to lead a team in a positive collaborative environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to command a room to deal with chairman’s and high level clients/operators
- Ability to develop business development and close deals
